Fugro provides a range of onshore geotechnical services throughout the South-East Asia region.

A number of Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) rigs are available to suit the majority of site conditions commonly encountered in the region. Land based crawler rigs with capacities from 3 tonnes to 20 tonnes can be made available to suit Clients requirements.

Crawler mounted rigs have excellent capability in soft ground and are highly manoeuvrable on site.

These rigs can be used to perform tests in intertidal areas where access by marine craft is difficult or not practical.

A six wheel, all wheel drive Amphibious rig, can be deployed to perform testing in shallow water and on land, providing a cost effective solution on sites where conditions are varied across the site.

The full suite of Fugro cone penetrometers can be deployed from these rigs and includes: -

• Electric friction cone
• Piezocone
• Dual element seismic cone
• Cone pressuremeter
• LIF cone for detection of hydrocarbons

All CPT units are equipped with onboard data acquisition units that allow test results to be printed out on site upon completion of a particular test, so that rapid review and assessment of data can be performed.

Rigs can be easily prepared for seafreight, allowing cost effective mobilisation to remote or distant locations.
